Diagnostics
Experience with amp repair allows many problems to be diagnosed quickly. My policy is to provide an upfront estimate before starting work.
Vacuum Tube Testing
Quality tubes last a long time if not abused. Testing can identify problems and prevent unnecessary tube replacement.
Repairs
Potentiometers, jacks, screen grid resistors and filter capacitors are common jobs. Quality parts from reputable sources minimizes the chance of repair failures, which nobody likes.
Modifications and Builds
Some amps have known design problems. Modifications can improve reliability or make them sound better. For anyone not comfortable with electronic work, I can do full builds from kits.
